Programs for Adults |
The New Church at Boynton Beach offers several Religious Education and Spiritual Development programs for its adult congregation members and friends. Many programs run on an ongoing basis, but there are also special featured programs that run for a limited time on a predefined schedule.
Doctrinal Class
Twice monthly, usually on Thursday evenings, there is a topical doctrinal class held at the church at 7:30 p.m.
Bible Study
Meeting weekly at the church on Tuesday afternoons at 4:00 PM. Until mid-June we will be getting an overview of the Bible.
Singles Group
This group of Senior singles meets monthly for discussing a book of their choosing with the pastor. The books chosen have a strong theme in New Church doctrine.
Young Adults Group
In a congregation well-endowed with senior citizens, this group is composed of "everyone else," including several in their fifties. Discussion often is organized around reading part of the Heavenly Doctrine.
Womens Group
The Theta Alpha - Women's Guild is an organization of women who meet several times a year for supporting the church in areas such as providing refreshments, chancel flowers, gifts for the children of the church, hospitality, meals, kitchen maintenance and more.
Mens Group
Although not limited to men, those who participate in our "mini work parties" and "half-day" work parties are usually men. The work parties are often on the second Saturday of the month and begin at 8:00 AM or as volunteers arrive. They supplement the weekly landscape maintenance.
